About this film
Thirty-five chapters, one for each subject: Google's history, every major product, the business, the controversies, the future, and practical tutorials, a comparison guide, a feature reference and an ecosystem masterclass. Prices and plans are United States prices as of October 2026 and change often; check the official page before buying. Images are real Google product screenshots captured live for this film, official Google images, Wikimedia Commons photos (credited on screen and in the photo credits below), and drawn diagrams and cards (marked as illustrations). Nothing was made with AI image generation. The narrator is a computer voice.
Notes and gaps
- Facts were taken from official Google pages, help centers, blogs, developer docs and Alphabet's filings (10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, filed July 23, 2026, and the 10-K for 2025), plus independent sources for history, court cases and comparisons. Every chapter script was fact-checked against its sources before narration.
- Alphabet's third-quarter 2026 results were not yet published when this was made; financial figures use the second quarter of 2026 and full-year 2025.
- Court cases: rulings, fines and filings are presented as fact; claims of regulators, plaintiffs and critics as allegations; Google's responses and critics' arguments as perspectives. Appeals may change outcomes.
- Statements about the future are labelled as predictions or as Google's stated plans.
- Screenshots were captured live from Google's public websites and help pages on October 23, 2026, signed out, from a U.S. connection; signed-in screens, menus and prices can look different on your account, device and country.
- Where a figure or feature could not be confirmed in an official or reputable source, the narration describes it in general terms instead of giving a number. Items the fact-check flagged are listed below by chapter.
- Some brand-new Google model and product names that appear on Google's own pages in October 2026 (for example on the Gemini and blog pages shown in the film) are shown as Google presents them.
- Ch. 1: Sources differ on Google's incorporation date, September 4 or September 7, 1998; the company celebrates its birthday on September 27.
- Ch. 1: Bard's rebranding as Gemini is dated February 2024 by some accounts and March 2024 by others, so the narration says early 2024.
- Ch. 1: YouTube's price, DeepMind's reported $400 million price, and whether the $32 billion Wiz deal has closed could not be confirmed, so they are omitted.
- Ch. 1: The April 2026 $180 billion AI infrastructure spending is an announced plan, not a completed outcome.
- Ch. 2: Information agents, agentic booking and business calling were announced for summer 2026; whether they had fully launched by October 23, 2026, could not be confirmed.
